Saudi Female Driving campaign
In September 2017 Saudi Arabia announced that Women in Saudi Arabia will be able to legally drive in June 2018.
This royal decree to lift the ban will help boost the number of women in the workforce in addition to help grow and improve the Saudi Economy. Shell decided to share this historic moment for Saudi women with creating this campaign. This change also meant a whole new customer base for Shell Lubricants in Saudi to build brand awareness of Shell Helix brand with our new demographic and celebrate Shell’s values of diversity, inclusion, integrity, and respect with the public.

The ad ends after every man among those was surprised by the woman who was talking about getting into his car and sitting in the driver’s seat, in a way that disclose intimacy, family bonding and heartwarming relation, and at the same time it is a scene of appreciation and woman empowering in Saudi Arabia. The last Scene of the ad presents shell Helix motor oils visual, following it a hashtag with a call to action to support women in their Journey.
