Shell in Saudi Arabia
Shell in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
For over 7 decades, Shell provided world-class investments through its local partners in Saudi Arabia. A journey that began with the refuelling of the late King Abdulaziz’s airplane.
Today we are active in the blending and marketing of lubricants with (JOSLOC). – Al Jomaih and Shell Lubricating Oil Company Limited established in 1985, JOSLOC manufactures and distributes Shell-branded lubricants in Saudi Arabia.
We strive to be a reliable partner of choice in our host country of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Shell continues its efforts to grow and explore appropriate opportunities in the Kingdom.
Alongside our business activities, we also give back to society through our social investment programmes.
Royal Dutch Shell was formed in 1907, although our history dates back to the early 19th century, to a small shop in London where the Samuel family sold sea shells.
Today, Shell is one of the world’s major energy companies, employing an average of 94,000 people and operating in more than 70 countries. Our headquarters are in The Hague, the Netherlands, and our Chief Executive Officer is Ben van Beurden. The parent company of the Shell group is Royal Dutch Shell plc, which is incorporated in England and Wales.
Our strategy seeks to reinforce our position as a leader in the oil and gas industry, while helping to meet global energy demand in a responsible way. Safety and environmental and social responsibility are at the heart of our activities.
